The names we use for our ingredients, on our labels and documents are chosen to be recognizable and short. We might use a trademark even if we are selling a generic product, especially when a molecule is commonly referred-to by that trademark. When the name of a manufacturer is prefixing an ingredient name, this means that this manufacturer is known or believed to be our supply chain's origin. Please note that we do not provide any further proof of origin for any of our products. We stand by what we advertise.

Veramoss, a fragrant ingredient used in perfumery, is a fascinating substance from the perspective of neurobiology of olfaction. Its odor profile is characterized by mossy, oakmoss, woody, phenolic, and earthy notes. In terms of olfaction, these scents evoke a sensory experience reminiscent of the natural environment, bringing to mind the rich aroma of moss-covered trees in a serene forest. Veramoss possesses a soft woody aroma with hints of phenolic and earthy oak musk. Although it is interesting to note that its taste exhibits woody, herbaceous, and fruity qualities, it is important to recognize that veramoss is always a synthetic, and therefore lacking the softness and diffusiveness of true natural oak moss found in the bounties of Mother Nature. However, despite its synthetic nature, veramoss has proven to be an invaluable material for perfumers, making it an essential ingredient for both novice apprentice perfumers and advanced professionals alike. Visually, veramoss presents as a white to pinkish yellow crystalline powder, further adding to its allure and versatility as a perfumery ingredient.
